With the desire to create opportunities for the young generation of Vietnam to freely express their thoughts and responsibility to the community through a modern and creative thinking, WE IN WE 2023 art contest with its theme “WE IN ME – A SENSE OF CONNECTION TO THE ENTIRETY WITHIN & BEYOND YOU” was born to help nurture young potentials and bring them closer to the public locally and internationally, contributing to raising awareness about the importance of arts education.

This is a pioneering art contest in order to cultivate young Vietnamese talents by the Vietnam Contemporary Visual Arts Academy (VCVAA) honored to accompany the short-term educational program from the University of Fine Arts London (UALSC) held for the first time in Vietnam.

• VIETNAM CONTEMPORARY VISUAL ARTS ACADEMY (VCVAA) is a part of the EMBASSY EDUCATION ecosystem, offers pioneering international standard education programs for students aged 2-18, (including signature subjects such as: Drawing, Painting, 3-Dimensional art, Fashion Design, Photography and Digital Arts). VCVAA programs address both the short and long-term learning and development needs of students at all levels, from beginner to professional.

• UALSC (UAL Short Courses) is a short-term training program of the UNIVERSITY OF THE ARTS LONDON (UAL). UAL is the world Top 2 university for art and design according to the QS World University Rankings® and Europe’s largest specialist university for art and design, voted one of the UK’s best modern universities by The Sunday Times University Guide. UALSC is integrated into the VCVAA curriculum. Students who complete this program will be awarded an international certificate from UALSC.

The contest is available to all Vietnamese children and young people aged 5 to 18 who live in Vietnam. Entries are classified into four age groups:

An entry is valid if it contains all of the data from the registration link, including a section showing the profile: introduce yourself and your artworks in no more than 400 words.

Entries must be submitted in a digital file format. Each contestant will be able to submit a maximum of 3 artworks. Required image format for artwork: JPG file (file size <200 MB) and submit on the form as a drive link.

The artworks selected for the second round will be sent to Vietnam Contemporary Visual Arts Academy (VCVAA) for display and evaluation.
