GENERAL INFORMATION

This programme is designed for students who have interests and potential to develop skills in building, shaping and connecting through the discipline of sculpture. Through multi-material activities, students will learn and research about the structure and application of a variety of materials, tools, as well as creative thinking processes.

With an in-depth learning path, design thinking and clear artistic practice instructions, students will gain the skills to design a variety of 3D products, proficiently using other techniques in the visual arts with paper, clay, wire, found objects and synthetic materials.

CURRICULUM

The process of exploring diverse materials and 3D modeling forms, including: multi-material sculpture, paper, clay, wire, etc.
Techniques and processes for the safe use of materials.
The method of forming creative ideas from observation, sensation, imagination, and applying design thinking in making 3D products.
Knowledge of the history of 3D visual art in the culture and art of Vietnam and the world.

LEARNING GOALS

Proficiently apply observational and research skills (about people, nature, culture, history) and association capacity to form ideas in 3D design.
Use thinking tools to shape and demonstrate the creative thinking process.
Use multi-material tools, processes, and artistic principles to express ideas in 3D designs.
Develop problem-solving, presentation and presentation skills about products from projects and topics.
Recognise the difference between 2D art and 3D art, the relationship between sculpture and painting,
Connect sculpture and drawing art with daily life to determine the purpose of art learning.
Analyse and appreciate the works of individuals, partners, and typical artists and styles of Vietnam and the world.
