THE SKY IN THE EGG – UNTOLD STORIES

VCVAA JOINES VIETNAM CHILDREN STORY TELLING FESTIVAL : I WONDER

“I imagine myself lying in a windy garden with flying birds.”

A little room at the Vietnam Contemporary Visual Arts Academy (VCVAA), on a lovely Sunday afternoon, was buzzing with laughter and sweet children’s stories. VCVAA delighted and praised the parents for bringing their adorable little angels to the storytelling event with K. A. Holt’s book “I Wonder”.

Have you always wondered why the world around you is so big? Why is the sky so high, and the clouds keep on flying? What about the birds visit me? Each question will appear one after another, and those innocent thoughts will stimulate the imagination of a vast, interesting world with your own perspective.

The event was very successful when VCVAA was able to immerse the children in the colorful world through books under the guidance of teachers and listen to creative, interesting and equally creative ideas and stories. The children’s smile is revealed in their scribbles and in their brief interactions with everyone. The children’s distinct voices, along with a support teacher playing a guitar and singing amusing English songs, made the storytelling session even more exciting. VCVAA was also very surprised to see that the children all knew the lyrics and sang very well with their parents.

“The Sky in the Egg” is the theme of the 2023 National Children’s Storytelling Festival event in Vietnam organized by VIRES – Reggio Emilia Educational Community, with nearly 150 activities from 21 localities in and outside of Vietnam. The kids will engage in a variety of entertaining story-telling activities throughout this week. The most exciting aspect of the enjoyment will be the activities in which both parents will participate, making the atmosphere even more vibrant and appealing.

VCVAA will soon provide more kid-friendly activities and a series of visual arts experience programs. Parents, please follow and come to VCVAA to have fun!
