The Advanced Drawing program is designed for students who wish to develop their experimental and realistic drawing skills. The teaching methods ensure a balance between exploratory thinking and experimentation with the advanced development of drawing skills and techniques. Project-based learning is also applied to support students in developing, analyzing, and evaluating their creative processes.

LEARNING OUTCOME

1. Develop mark-making skills and line drawing to enhance the quality of visual expression.
2. Cultivate deep observation skills and hand-eye coordination to support creation and rendering.
3. Execute personal projects to address artistic problems/challenges from the conceptual stage to the completion of the artwork.
4. Build confidence in making choices and decisions in artistic creative practice.
5. Explore personal interests and motivations for creation, as well as individual perspectives and drawing styles.

METHOD

The lessons are designed based on the ‘Studio Thinking’ approach, focusing on developing artworks through a process of exploration and experimentation with materials and tools, stemming from the students’ original ideas. In addition to hands-on and experiential sessions, students also have opportunities to learn through direct interactions with artists, visit exhibitions, and showcase their own artworks outside the classroom.

  • Express thoughts, feelings, and ideas through visual and tactile media, alongside spoken language and body language.
  • Experiment with and safely use a variety of tools and materials for creation.
  • Share the creative process of their artwork and explain their artistic choices.
  • Provide an overview and relate emotions to their own works and those of others.
  • Gain self-awareness and connect with themselves (such as emotions, interests, family, friends, etc.).
  • Embrace and respect differences, sharing and collaborating with others.
  • Feel more comfortable with uncertainty and ambiguity, and be willing to try new things and face challenges.
  • Be motivated to practice creation outside of class and be able to explain their favorite media and materials.
