FOUNDATION CLASS OUTDOOR SESSION RECAP: CREATING ART FROM NATURE
A quiet morning at 30/4 Park, soft sunlight filtering through the leaves, a green lawn underfoot, and the bustle of the city in the distance. That’s where VCVAA’s Foundation class held an exciting outdoor art session themed “Plein Air Painting in Impressionism.”
After exploring Impressionism art – how artists captured fleeting light and visual impressions with expressive brushwork, students began their own practice: observing their surroundings, selecting a viewpoint, sketching compositions, mixing colors, and painting with acrylics right on site.
More than just a lesson in style, it was a journey of slowing down, tuning in, and expressing personal perception – developing their ability to observe, feel, and articulate through every stroke of the brush.
