ART & WORK: STEPPING INTO THE SHOES OF A CONTEMPORARY ARTIST TO BUILD YOUR OWN IMAGINARY WORLD
The April edition of Art & Work event brought an exciting and refreshing experience to VCVAA students, offering a unique opportunity to meet visual artist and art director Trần Minh Thông (Minwooq) – the creative mind behind many captivating art spaces and the art director of numerous creative projects.
The students had the chance to listen to Thông’s sincere and down-to-earth sharing about his professional journey – from developing ideas and concepts to choosing materials that best express his personal perspective and convey emotion. Through these stories, students gained a deeper understanding of what it means to be a contemporary visual artist – a path where creativity is fueled by the courage to experience and express oneself.
Even more special, the students stepped into the role of true artists through a creative challenge: transforming ideas into a multi-material visual space, with the focus being a unique figure assembled from random objects. This hands-on activity not only stretched their imagination beyond boundaries but also highlighted the importance of teamwork and mutual respect, turning individual ideas into a shared, inspiring work of art.
