FROM DREAM TO ARTWORK: A JOURNEY INTO VISUAL ARTS WITH THE VCVAA TEAM
At VCVAA, art has never been just a journey of exciting discovery for our students. It is also a continuous process of learning and growth for our educators and dedicated staffs to gradually build an inspiring educational environment, one that nurtures holistic development and sparks an enduring spirit of creativity.
With the aim of strengthening professional foundations and creating a space for dialogue around visual arts education, VCVAA launched a series of internal training sessions for our teaching and operations teams. The series began with the topic: “Visual arts and their connection to Life & Human development”, led by Ms. Trâm Kha – Senior Advisor at VCVAA Faculty of Visual Art.
The training invited participants to revisit the foundations of visual arts: exploring its core concepts, identifying different forms of artistic expression, and understanding how art contributes to holistic human development across five domains – cognition, emotion, motor skills, language, and social growth. Beyond theory, the session came alive through vibrant discussions, group sharing, and interactive presentations, where everyone could learn from one another with openness and curiosity.
The emotional highlight of the session was the hands-on activity titled “My Dream”, where each participant expressed their inner world through the language of visual art. From paints and colored papers to printed textures and yarn – these became expressive drawings, 3D models or collage artworks, telling deeply personal stories of memories, dreams, fears and unspoken feelings.
Let’s take a look back at the energizing atmosphere of the session and admire the wonderful works of art created during this meaningful workshop!
