“DISCOVERING” NATURE’S TREASURES AT THE ZOO WITH OUR STUDENTS OF THE EXPLORATION CLASS

This past March, VCVAA’s monthly Student Life Enrichment (SLE) program took our young artists on a vibrant journey into nature with the theme “A stroll with nature.” Beneath the golden sunlight of a perfect weekend morning, students from the Foundation class immersed themselves in the lush surroundings of the Saigon Zoo and Botanical Gardens – observing, discovering, and collecting glimpses of the natural world around them.
The trip unfolded like a miniature adventure, where the children set out to uncover “hidden treasures” nestled right in the heart of the city. With wide-eyed wonder, they handpicked branches, leaves, and flowers, exploring firsthand the textures, shapes, and structures that nature has to offer.
Bathed in sunlight, every movement, color, and form of the flora came alive with a vivid brilliance – each detail offering a wellspring of inspiration for artistic creation. Guided by our instructors, the students then translated their impressions into unique botanical sketches, using colors and lines to express their own visual language.
SLE activities are a cherished part of the VCVAA learning experience – opportunities where students learn through exploration, nurture their natural curiosity, and cultivate a lifelong passion for discovery and artistic expression. Stay tuned with VCVAA for more magical SLE journeys into the world of art!
